graham and myself arrived in 1 hour 40 mins to sunshin and good breeze. breakfast and a wait till the toilets opened ; but they didnt. trip into town to search.
when we got back the tide was right up the steep pebbles and the shore dump was huge! but the wind was strong.
we both went out and both struggled to get into the bindings before the waves dumped on us. luck was with me and i mangaed to get up and away between breaks. luck ran out some 20 mtres later when my right foot strap unscrewed on one side from my board************************************************************
yep abort and drag back in ; dump the kite and fix the strap. sort out the tangle lines and try again. by this time the sea was huge and no use, dont want to die ,gave in after being trashed umpteen times.
we both waited .sorry fell asleep in the car waiting for the sea to retreat and when it did we got out no problems but the wind dropped off; out came the 13 asnd up and running for about half and hour and the same!!!!!!!!************** we called it a day. at least we were still dry and warm in our dry suits;
the suit of choice for the discerning man in the winter!
shame about the tide times and the full moon and the low pressure and the on shore wind, but hey we were out there without a hang over and had a go! sorry Daz!
